I’m Austyn McFadden, a designer, founder, and creative director based in Ohio. I build the identity systems that make people trust a brand before they read a word. Most of that work happens through Vaughn, the design studio I founded to work with people who care deeply about what they’re building. We exist to do good work with good people and build better brands because of it. Vaughn helps organizations clarify who they are, build the systems that express it, and bring those systems to life through brand and digital experiences. That can mean identity systems, websites, digital products, or helping an organization make sense of how all of those pieces should work together. I’ve worked across SaaS, AI, tech, sports, nonprofits, civic organizations, and plenty of things that do not fit neatly into a category. I care about design that works beyond the presentation deck. Brands have to live somewhere. Websites have to ship. Products have to be used. My work increasingly sits somewhere between designer, builder, and creative partner. I’m a Framer Expert, a Lovable Ambassador and Top 10% Builder, and currently ranked in the Top 1% of designers on Contra. Tools change constantly, though. The goal stays the same: make something thoughtful, useful, and built well enough to hold up in the real world.
